Getting the proper size is very important and can sometimes be difficult if you haven't worn a pouch sling before. Please click the link below the photos to view the sizing charts.
The padding is made to go under an older baby's (6 months and up) legs, in the bend behind the knees, in any of the legs out positions - the hip carry, tummy to tummy, and back carry.
Padding FAQ’s:
What is the padding like? There are 2 sections of padding, approximately 10" long x 1.5" wide, on either side of the curved seam of the sling. This is where an older baby's legs will go in the hip carry. Stretch Sateen baby sling 97% cotton 3% lycra.
Can a padded sling be used from birth? Yes! Although the padding is there primarily for older babies, the padding does not interfere with the sling's use with a newborn. You will generally wear the padding on the outer rail when the baby's legs are inside the sling. The padding can be used as a place to grip when positioning the baby, it helps hold the pouch fabric open more to prevent draping across the baby's face, some babies like to chew on the padded rail, and the padding can help act as a pillow under a newborn's head who wants to see out, but who doesn't have good neck control yet. |
